Apogee finally signed a darn good client in the crafts niche. We’ve been on the hunt for the right one for the last few years and the Darn Good Yarn program is going to be fun for our team to kick into high gear.
The program was originally launched on ShareASale in June of 2015. They launched a second program on Pepperjam in 2018. After a detailed analysis, we have decided to close the Pepperjam program and focus on building a strong content-based partner program on the original platform of ShareASale.
Before handing the affiliate management keys over to Christen Evans, I did a massive cleanup by removing low-value coupon and paid search affiliates. I removed hundreds of these affiliates, just like I did with Previnex and many other programs. Sales have already increased by 64% compared to last month. I also bumped the default commission from 10% to 12% and increased the tracking gap from 30 days to 60 days.
Darn Good Yarn is an online yarn store that is dedicated to supporting women’s economic empowerment, fair trade practices and principles of environmental sustainability. They offer dozens of reclaimed and sustainable fibers, cloths and yarn, allowing knitters, crocheters and other crafters access to these rare and special items. In doing so, Darn Good Yarn hopes to encourage the joy of crocheting, knitting, beautiful garments and ethical consumerism.
