The Apogee education and activation campaigns in 2018 have exceeded all expectations with the addition of 42 videos this year to our YouTube channel. We've just finished updating our education portal to include many of them along with other helpful resources.
Our team started to pivot from just recruiting high-quality affiliates to teaching them how to promote our clients almost two years ago. Today's focus is helping those new partners become better affiliates in all the programs they promote. We've created content for affiliates of all models of promotion. The most recurring questions from new affiliates were the best ideas for video conversations.
The Affiliate Education 101 library will expand in 2019. We'll also add more client activation videos, interviews, live events and conversations. Daniel M. Clark and I will continue interviewing industry experts for the Affiliate Voices series. Christen Evans and Anne Parris will start a new series to discuss best practices for bloggers and influencers.
We started 2018 with 43 subscribers to our YouTube channel and we'll finish over 1,200. YouTube analytics show more than 6,500 hours watched and more than 70,000 views of our videos this year.
On top of that, our private Facebook group for our verified affiliates has increased in membership by 60%. With these efforts, our managed programs have seen increased activity in affiliates with both clicks and sales. New affiliates have commented that they appreciate the education and so they promote our clients just a little bit more.
