            Please Welcome Carolyn Kmet!

It is my honor to announce that affiliate marketing veteran Carolyn Kmet has joined Apogee as Strategic Advisor to company President Jen Hoffman. Carolyn will serve part-time as our senior consultant while Apogee continues its fantastic growth through the coming years.

I first met Carolyn “CTang” Kmet in Miami at Affiliate Summit 2007. She was with ShareASale at the time, and I was harassing Brian Littleton, the network’s founder, about needing affiliate managers for the Kowabunga network. I had been reading blog posts and following Carolyn’s ideas about the industry and told him I needed someone just like her. He flatly refused to engage in my banter, and I don’t blame him.

Following her tenure at ShareASale, Carolyn was the CMO of a Canada-based full-service e-commerce agency. She has also led affiliate marketing efforts for companies such as Groupon, Orbitz and the Bradford Exchange.

In 2018, Carolyn was honored with the Affiliate Summit Pinnacle Legend award for her contributions to the performance marketing industry. She is also the recipient of the Affiliate Summit Pinnacle Award for Affiliate Manager of the Year (2010), New Advertiser of the Year from Commission Junction (2011) and Small Business Influencer Growth Champion (2014).

No one will ever (or should even attempt to) bring the Legend out of retirement or, more importantly, out of the classroom. Carolyn currently teaches marketing and analytics at the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago, where she earned an MBA. Carolyn also holds an MS in Journalism from Northwestern University and a BA from the University of California, Berkeley. She is a nerd at heart who can never get enough of school, and we love that she continues to teach while we also learn from her considerable experience.
